茶室設計的基本思路是利用材料和空間的變化來模糊原本室內的內外、界面之間的關系，合理利用空間面積，創造一種充滿東方韻味的環境，讓室內脫離局部的裝飾，回歸到自然、樸素、靜謐的具有東方氣息的居住氛圍。
